Henderson's ultimate cold-water wetsuit is the Gold Core Semi Dry Suit. This suit combines the best of the Henderson Gold Core Technology with the flexibility of the Henderson Titanium Hyperstretch material. These two materials combined to reduce the flow of water across the divers body by improving the fit (Henderson Hyperstretch stretches over 250%) and by semi sealing the water in the suit (Gold Core seals against the skin) and reduces the flow of warm water out and cold water in.
This is exactly what we want when diving colder water such as: the coldwater Springs of Florida, Monterey Bay or the Galapagos Islands. The added features of the built-in Gold Core hood and "Flow Vent" traps in the additional 20-30% loss of body heat from the head while still allowing trapped air bubbles to escape. The cross-chest zipper makes for easy donning and doffing of the suit, allowing a diver to suit up comfortably without hours of prep time. All seams are glued and sewn and the flexible/durable kneepads make this suit tough enough to handle most diving conditions. Cut to exacting measurements with the Hyperstretch inserts added in just the right areas, this suit provides flexibility and custom like fit. The 7/5 mm thickness provides warmth while still maintaining comfort and flexibility.
For divers entering extremely cold water or for longer periods of time we recommended that you add a Henderson Hyperstretch Core Warmer on over the top of the semi dry suit and Henderson Hyperstretch Gloves.
