Big Trip Coming Up? Take Part in a Scuba Skills Update!
Recapture the feeling of total confidence after a long “Dry Spell” by updating the skills learned in your Open Water Diver course.
Refresh Your Scuba Skills: In the Scuba Skills Update you will have the opportunity to practice and review the scuba skills you learned in your open water diver class and learn techniques that may have changed since you were last working with your Scuba Instructor. You will have the opportunity to refresh your memory and motor coordination, as well as practice your self-aid skills - all under the guidance of a Scuba Instructor. A must if it has been a year or two since you last put your gear together and jumped in. This is the single best thing in the world to regain and restore your comfort and confidence about diving right before you take that big giant stride into the ocean.
Equipment: The scuba skills update is a great opportunity to re-learn and get comfortable with your current equipment. It is the best way to gain confidence in your gear that has just been serviced in our Equipment Service Program and/or the perfect time to play with and adjust any new equipment your taking on your next adventure. To use any of your own personal life support equipment (regulators, BCD’s and computer) in the pool with us, it will need to have been serviced (proof required by receipt or service sleeve) in the last year and be in good working condition.
We are happy to supply a Total Diving System for your pool session at no additional charge. If you are renting equipment from us for your dive trip we will strive to provide the same equipment for the Scuba Skills Update that you will be using on your trip. Familiarity and Comfort in the equipment is one of our main goals.
Log Book, C-Cards Updates and Resort Requirements Fulfilled: Your Log Book will be updated, embossed and signed by our Scuba Instructor. Proof of a dive in the last 6 months is now required by many dive destinations. Dive Guides want to know when you last went diving and that your skills are up to date before they jump into the ocean with you. We will also update your current C-Card with a Scuba Skills Update Sticker so everyone on the boat will know you take your diving fun seriously.
The Scuba Skills Update prepares you and your dive buddy to experience more confident, comfortable and relaxed dives. On top of all that, it is a ton of fun just to get wet again.
You will need to supply your Mask, Fins, Snorkel and Boots, if yours are old and don’t work anymore we have some great packages for you to get into. We will supply the rest of the Total Diving System for your pool session.
Scuba Skill Updates are offered every time we start an Open Water class or we are happy to schedule other courses based on your needs and time frame (try not to run it down to the very last minute before your big trip, a little planning ahead will pay off on this course).
Level 1 - is one night in the classroom (optional) and one pool session and is Only $129
Recomended for a current and active diver who has been out of the water for more than 6 months. This is a refreshing of the "diving skills" that the diver is comfortable with.
Level 2 - is auditing all of the classrooms and all of the pool sessions and is Only $189!
Recommended for the diver who has been out of the water for more than 6 months and does not quite remember all of the skills, this will get your skills back up to 100%.
Level 3 - is auditing the entire course and joining us on the open water fun dive Only $229
Great for a total refresher and update, perferct for someone who has a new diver going through the open water course and wants to be a part of the fun.
