Come join us on an adventure with Whale Sharks!  Visit beautiful Isla Mujeres, aptly named by the Spanish explorer Cordoba, who found the island abandoned but populated with small Mayan sculptures of women.  Hence the name Isla Mujeres, or Island of Women.  Just off the coast of Cancun, Isla Mujeres lies in the tropical waters of the Mexican Caribbean and is part of the world’s 2^nd largest reef system, the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System. 

Isla Mujeres boasts pure white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and the chance to snorkel with Whale Sharks!  Embark on an amazing Whale Shark snorkeling experience with this package.  Swim with the world’s largest species of fish, reaching lengths up to 40ft, this snorkeling experience will be the snorkel of a lifetime!  Though their large stature may be intimidating, Whale Sharks are quite docile and are in fact fish, not whales.  Also, they are filter feeders, feeding on such tiny life as plankton and krill, so no need to worry, we’re not on their menu.  During the snorkels you will also have a chance to see hundred pound sea turtles, manta rays, and dolphins to just name a few. 

The islands two main industries are fishing and tourism, so expect some great seafood at the local restaurants.  Other activities on the island include SCUBA diving, fishing, snorkeling at the Garrafon Natural Reef Park, participating in a Dolphin Discovery experience, visiting a turtle farm, taking the ferry over to Cancun to see the city, or of course laying in a hammock or on the beach just relaxing and enjoying your vacation.
