Full foot snorkeling fins are typically used for snorkeling adventures where you don't need a boot for walking on the coral, "iron shore" or rocky beach.
Full foot snorkeling fins are typically smaller and lighter in weight than open heel scuba diving fins. They are sometimes easier to travel with because of the smaller fin and lighter weight. Scuba diving fins are larger to help power you and all of your scuba diving gear through the water. Some people do use full foot snorkeling fins for scuba, but we don't typically recommend them for scuba diving.
